Rapidly deployable 360° solution as a starting point for individual leadership development of top doctors
Challenge
‘Medical leadership’ plays a crucial role in delivering excellent care. Therefore, EUHA launched a pilot project in which top medical service chiefs from several European countries were invited to participate in a leadership training program. The goal: grow top experts not only medically, but also as leaders.
Our approach
We enjoyed the confidence of the EUHA Lead Facilitator, and took next steps in measuring leadership behavior:
- Exploration:
Based on literature review and in close cooperation with EUHA, we served as a sparring partner to develop an appropriate measurement method. In doing so, we took into account the design and modules of the leadership program. - “semi custom”development phase :
Together with the Lead Facilitator, we developed two measurement solutions based on existing tools from the Mapwave portfolio. On the one hand, we used a self-perception questionnaire around leadership that was used as a pre- and post-measurement;-. On the other hand, we developed a 360° feedback questionnaire that measures leadership dimensions from different perspectives. - Collection and reporting:
a. Questionnaires were administered to European participants via the app.mapwave platform.
b. Customized individual reports provided insight into both self-perception and 360° feedback results.
Results
The training staff of the EUHA Medical Leadership program had a pre- and post-measurement of the designed leadership program. Individual participants were able to work in their self-development with 360° feedback from different perspectives in a clear report.
